At the stages we set our intention that we are going to re-connect with our child within. Wait for an image of ourself as a child to appear in our mind’s eye. See our grown-up self asking our child within to unlock the dungeon of the mind and climb out of the basement. Listen to what our child within has to say. Perhaps our child within wants to give us the answer to a question that we’ve been mulling over all our lives. Perhaps the child within is angry, petulant, revenge filled. We need to acknowledge our child. After all, we never needed to look outside ourself when we were a child to know how we felt or what was true for us. We always knew the answers. There will be aches from childhood wounds that we can now start to heal by talking to our child within and offering them the wisdom and perspective that comes with our ten stage work. We’ve have forgotten how to see the world with childlike wonder and hope, and our child within needs like you to remember how. Tell our child within that we respect them and will now accept them and keep them safe. Embrace our child within and tell them that we are always there for them.Accept and Allow our child within to be angry and accept the lost years of dissociation. make a place in our lives for the freeing spirit of our child within to always be there for us.

Connecting to your child with in with meditation is a imperative to our recovery, but we can also connect with our child within even when we aren’t in meditation. Treat ourself to a play date, ice cream, or a walk in the park. Let ourself laugh and play more. Give ourself permission to be as wise as our child within so we can stop focusing on what isn’t important and start living as if every moment is precious. our life will be filled with more laughter and fun.
